Eurocode design, worked out step by step.

Enter a slab, beam, column or footing and its loads. EurocodeCalculator designs it to Eurocode 2 and writes out every check the way you would in an exam: the expression, the numbers, the result and the clause it comes from.

Free, with no account. The design is calculated in your browser.

Choose a Eurocode

Each Eurocode gets its own calculator. Concrete is ready now, and steel is being built next.

EC3

Steel structures being built

EN 1993-1-1. Steel members designed the same way as concrete: every check written out with its clause, with drawings and a PDF report.

Later

  • EC4 Composite steel and concrete
  • EC5 Timber
  • EC6 Masonry
  • EC7 Geotechnical design
  • EC8 Earthquake resistance
  • EC9 Aluminium

EN 1990 (basis of design) and EN 1991 (actions on structures) are part of every calculator: the load combinations and the imposed loads come from them.

How a design works

  1. Enter the member

Its geometry, the concrete and steel, the exposure class and the characteristic loads. Choose the National Annex: the CEN recommended values, Sri Lanka, or values of your own.

  2. Read the worked design

Every check is written out with the expression, the numbers and the result, and the clause beside it. Open any clause for a short note on what it asks for. The 3D model and the drawings follow your inputs as you type.

  3. Download the report

An A4 PDF with the drawings, the 3D view and every step, to keep or to check against your own working.

Guides and worked examples

Each Eurocode 2 check explained the way an exam answer sets it out. Every number in the worked examples comes from the calculator.

Numbers you can check

No AI in the calculations
Every number comes from Eurocode expressions coded by hand, so the same inputs always give the same design.
Checked against the standard
Each equation was checked against the printed page of the standard before it was coded, and every member is tested against worked examples.
National Annex values with their source
Each nationally determined value names the annex and the clause it comes from.
Calculated in your browser
No account and no upload. Your inputs stay on your device.
